The Narrative.jpg

One of the things that fascinates me most about meeting new people are the stories of how they came to be the people they are today. Everyone has a story, and every story is different, and none of which have come without struggle or pain. The subject surrounding most of my conceptual work is based on the story of others, however the pandemic has made the process of meeting strangers much more difficult. As a result, I have found myself spending much of my time reflecting on my own story both past and present as it has been unfolding. It has been a time where I have faced some of the biggest challenges in my life, and it has forced me to look inwards. For this reason, I have decided to create a series of works imbedded with stories as I has felt and lived them. A look at the world I live in from my own personal and vulnerable lens. These works are metaphorical stories, containing symbolism which are left for the viewer to interpret and apply to their own narrative.

New techniques include (but not limited to) the integration of digital art and photo manipulation into a physical form and combined with mixed media & painting.

I believe now more than ever, mental health is an important subject to emphasize, and I encourage everyone to use the services that are available. It is important to know that you are not alone and that there is always someone who will listen.

This series is my art therapy, and this is my narrative.
